The UK Men’s Shed Association (UKMSA) which is the over-arching support body for all Sheds across the UK, has partnered with the website “Easy Fundraising” to enable all Sheds to benefit from online shopping.
The West Bletchley Shed was one of the pioneers in using this service and we have already raised over £400 by members using the portal to access sites such as Amazon, Argos, Booking.com, John Lewis, British Gas and many more. It costs you the buyer nothing more, but the Shed receives a small percentage of each sale made which is paid once a quarter.
To sign up, just register at
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/westbletchleyshed
Then remember to load the http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk page. login and then click on the clink to your chosen online retailer on every occasion you shop. By so doing, the Shed will benefit.
New retailers have joined #easyfundraising! You can now raise donations with Jack & Jones, Seasalt, Deichmann, QVC, Itch, Voxi and many more! They will donate to West Bletchley Shed at no extra cost to you when you shop online with them – the retailer pays a small commission which comes to the Shed.
In addition to the above, West Bletchley Shed makes and sells a range of products such as garden planters, bird boxes and ad-hoc items to raise money to cover its overheads. Visit our Products page to see details. Usually, these are on display outside our Shed on a table each Shed working session and are available to buy in person.
If it is within our skill-set, we are happy to undertake special projects but remember, we are volunteers and are not bound by timescales as we work for the enjoyment that coming together brings, rather than as a business entity.
We sometimes get asked if we can repair items which we are happy to do if we can, but ask that you make a donation towards the Shed overheads plus any materials that we may need to purchase for the job.
