Thank you for visiting our website. men in Sheds West Bletchley is now into its 4th year of existence and goes from strength to strength. To view our activities, navigate to the “Shed News” page.
We are a group of men (although we equally welcome women) who currently meet in a converted football changing room within Rickley Park, Bletchley for which we are indebted to West Bletchley Council who kindly provide us with the facility.
The “Shed” undertakes a number of local community-based projects, and over the summer of 2018, it refurbished a number of sensory toys used by the Redway special needs School based at Netherfield in Milton Keynes. In addition, the lads from the Shed have also made and donated a couple of mud kitchens for the children to use and enjoy.
Other examples of the “Shed’s” work includes making and installing the raised beds within the St Mary’s Church Sensory Garden in Church Green Road, Bletchley and, making some access steps for Bletchley St Martins Bowls Club so that their less abled members can continue to access the green and play.
The Shed will consider any reasonable community project that will benefit Bletchley and the surrounding area of Milton Keynes Unitary Authority if it feels that it is within its capabilities to do so.
The Shed is non-profit making but financially self-supporting, and makes products such as garden planters, bird boxes and tables as well as novelty items which it sells to raise money to buy more materials as well as to cover the cost of overheads such as public liability insurance.
If you live within the MK3 postcode covered by West Bletchley Council and would love to come along and contribute towards our projects as well as learn new skills, you are most welcome. We meet on most mornings Monday to Friday from 10 am until around 12.30 pm. For more details, please visit our “Contact Us” page.
